Fitch cuts China’s ratings outlook on growth risks

ISLAMABAD, Jan 30 (DNA): China shows strong interest in investment, capacity building and the promotion of advanced technology in Pakistan’s mineral sector, reflecting the long-standing partnership between the two countries.

On Friday, Research Fellow at the China International Press Communication Center, Muhammad Zamir Assadi, emphasized the importance of sustainable development and said that adherence to international construction and operational standards ensures responsible mining, said a press release.

He explained that responsible mining not only enables the efficient and transparent use of natural resources but also plays a key role in fostering harmonious and long-term relationships with local communities.

He said that China is keen to advance mineral development in Pakistan under the principles of social and environmental responsibility.

Muhammad Zamir Assadi stated that under the Saindak Project, more than 5,200 local workers have so far received training, which serves as practical evidence of China’s strong commitment to local workforce inclusion and capacity enhancement.

He added that such projects are playing an important role in promoting sustainable development, creating employment opportunities and improving the welfare of local communities in Pakistan.
