GWADAR, AUG 13 (DNA) — In a gesture of goodwill and solidarity, the Consulate General of China in Karachi, in collaboration with China Overseas Ports Holding Company Pakistan Pvt. Ltd. (COPHC), has donated 3,000 food packages to the deserving people of Gwadar.
The package consists of 10 kg’s flour bags and 2 liters’ cooking oil. Distribution of ration took place during a donation ceremony conducted by Gwadar port operator company COPHC, Gwadar Pro reported. This compassionate initiative delivered a lifeline to the locals, providing them with vital necessities amidst challenging circumstances.
Expressing their gratitude in a heartfelt letter, Pakistani recipients conveyed their deep appreciation for China’s act of kindness. They described it as a noble endeavor that generously aids the underprivileged population of Gwadar. A few months back, the Chinese Consulate Karachi had doled out a donation, consisting of rice, flour, sugar, oil, and other essential items, totaling 4,000 portions and weighing over 80 tons.
As a part of humanitarian endeavours to mitigate the acute plight of rain and flood victims in Gwadar, the Chinese Consulate General in Karachi also delivered essential food items (ration) for 2,000 rain and flood affected families in Gwadar City in 2024.
