LAHORE, FEB 12 /DNA/ – The final round of the COAS Interclub Hockey Championship witnessed three more electrifying matches today, with teams showcasing their skills and determination.
In the first match, Tiger Hockey Club Bhawalpur dominated Burni Hockey Club Quetta, winning 7-0. Zubair stole the show with a brilliant hat-trick, while Captain Arshad Liaquat scored two goals and Suleman and Shahzaib Akbar scored one each.
The second match saw Bijli Ghar Red Mardan defeat National Hockey Club Karachi 4-1. Captain Zakaria Hayat led from the front, scoring two goals, while M Zaid and Jawwad Khan scored one each. Karachi’s Captain Usman Ashraf scored the lone goal for his team.
In the third match, Gojra Sports Gojra thrashed Rising Star Hockey Club Islamabad 11-0. Yasir Ali scored a impressive hat-trick, while Azain Abbas, Hasnain, and Shahrooz Khan scored two goals each. M Ahsan and Uzair scored one goal each to complete the rout.
The matches were attended by distinguished guests, including Secretary PHF Olympian Rana Mujahid Ali, Tauqeer Dar, Manzoor ul Hassan, Tariq Sheikh, Anjum Saeed, Danish Kaleem, Kamran Ashraf, Muhammad Ali, and others. The dignitaries praised the high level of skills displayed by the competing teams.
