MULTAN, Dec 26 (APP/DNA): Commissioner Multan Division Amir Karim Khan visited the free winter cloth market ‘Khair Ka Safar’ established at the General Bus Stand, where winter clothes were being distributed among deserving persons, labourers, and underprivileged citizens.
During the visit, the commissioner reviewed the administrative arrangements and personally distributed winter clothes among the deserving people. He was briefed by officials that the free winter cloth market was launched on November 17, 2025, and has been operating continuously for the past 35 days.
According to the briefing, a total of 12,230 winter garments have been collected so far, out of which 10,416 already distributed among deserving people.
Commissioner Amir Karim said that supporting the underprivileged people during the harsh winter season was the government’s top priority. He stressed that the initiative aimed to provide relief to deserving citizens in a dignified manner so that no one suffers due to cold weather.
The commissioner directed the officers concerned to ensure transparency, discipline, and ease in the distribution process to enable maximum deserving people to benefit from the welfare initiative. Secretary RTA Mohsin Nisar was also present.
