The Cricket West Indies and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) were looking to change the forthcoming ODI series into T20Is ahead of Asia Cup and ICC T20 World Cup next year.
Sources divulged on Tuesday that the purpose of making such a decision is to ensure the preparations of the upcoming mega-events in the T20I format.

Pakistan cricket team were scheduled to play a three-match ODI series in the end of July in the West Indies following their upcoming T20I series against the same opposition in Florida.
It is pertinent to note that the PCB and BCB had already changed their forthcoming ODI and T20I series in a five-match T20I series, considering the upcoming mega-events in a shorter format of the game.
