Cultural Cooperation between Pakistan and Belarus Discussed

MINSK: Ambassador of Pakistan to Belarus Mr. Sajjad Haider Khan held a meeting with Ms. Natalya Karchevskaya, Rector of Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts in her office. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Vadim Samatya, Head of the International Cooperation department of the university.
The Ambassador briefed Ms. Natalya on the cultural and religious diversity, arts and crafts of Pakistan, which also boast being home to the oldest civilizations of the world “Mehrgargh and Indus Valley civilizations”. 


The two sides discussed possibilities of cultural collaboration between the two countries including establishing institutional linkages, holding cultural programmes and seminars for creating greater awareness amongst the students, faculty members and general public.  
Welcoming the idea of furthering cultural cooperation, Ms. Natalya Karchevskaya, who has earlier also served as First Deputy Minister of Culture of Belarus assured to provide full support in this endeavors.
