Dacoits deprive Lahoris of 162 tola gold on Eid

LAHORE, May 15 (DNA): When the people of Punjab’s provincial capital city were celebrating Eid, thieves looted their houses in their absence and deprived them of their gold, cash, and other expensive items.

Dacoits and thieves continued their activities in the city despite the security measures of the local police and other forces. As per the report, dacoits looted more than 162 tolas (near about 12 gram) gold and five million rupees along with other expensive items from their homes in Lahore city.

In Nawab Town, dacoits looted 92 tola gold with seven highly precious watches and cash from Muattar Ali home.

In the Gulshan Iqbal area, dacoits broke the locks of doors and took 20 tola gold with Rs0.6 million as well as in Chuhng area, they took 10 tola gold and Rs2.5 million from a house.

In the Defence area, thieves entered into a house through a window and took 35 tola gold and heavy cash while dacoits in Harbanspura area made hostages of the family members and looted five tola gold and some money from them.
