ISLAMABAD, DEC 21: Dense fog reduced visibility in several parts of Karachi, leading to the diversion of multiple international flights.
Fog prevailed during the morning in Surjani Town, Super Highway, Sohrab Goth, Gulistan-e-Johar, I I Chundrigar Road, Clifton, and surrounding areas of Defence. The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) said six international flights bound for Karachi were diverted to other airports due to fog.
The authority said flight diversions under limited visibility are a routine safety measure. Four foreign airline flights were diverted to Muscat instead of Karachi.
A private airline flight from Jeddah was diverted to Islamabad instead of Karachi. A PIA flight from Madinah was diverted to Muscat instead of Karachi.
