Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar @MIshaqDar50 today held a meeting with Ms. Rosa Yolanda Villavicencio @ryvillavicencio, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Colombia, in New York.
The two leaders discussed ways to further enhance cooperation in trade, investment, education, defense, culture, and multilateral engagement.
As both countries are currently members of the UN Security Council, the DPM/FM appreciated Colombia’s principled positions on regional and international issues and reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire for a stronger partnership with Colombia in multilateral fora, including the UN.
The two sides discussed regional and international developments, including the situation in Palestine, and reaffirmed their support for dialogue, diplomacy, and adherence to the UN Charter and international law.
They also agreed to maintain regular high-level contacts and institutional engagement to further deepen Pakistan-Colombia relations.
