ISLAMABAD, APR 19 (DNA) – Deputy Inspector-General Islamabad police, Afzaal Ahmed Kousar on Monday visited different police stations of the capital city and inspected relevant records.
According to the police officials, the DIG visited police station Karachi Company, Bhara Kahu, Bani Gala, CTD and some other points of the city. Additional SP Islamabad Farhat Abbas Kazmi, SP Amjad farooq Butter, DSP Hakim were also present on the occasion. He met with the on-duty officials, listened to their issues and also inspected the police record.
He also took review of the police station buildings and the lockups. Speaking on the occasion, the DIG said that Islamabad police is the best of the country and urged the personnel to work in cohesion to achieve the desired results. He said the prime duty of the police was to protect and secure the life and property of the residents.
Afzaal Ahmed Kousar also directed the officers to take care of the needs of the personnel. He also asked the officials to give respect to the visitors and help them in redressal of their problems.
He told the officials to adopt ‘free registration of crime policy’ and immediately report a matter whenever an applicant approaches the police station. The DIG also visited different areas of the city as well to review security arrangements, especially during the month of Ramada. = DNA
