SUKKUR, Dec 24 (APP/DNA): DIG Sukkur Range Captain (Retired) Faisal Abdullah Chachar on Wednesday has taken notice of a blackmailing jirga case. SSP Ghotki Anwar Khatran has ordered immediate action.A suspect Shahnawaz Bhayo has been arrested for conducting a jirga where a false accusation of blackmailing was made, and a decision was taken to pay Rs1 million and hand over two girls as compensation.
A case has been registered against six suspects, and raids are underway to arrest others involved. The police has a zero tolerance policy against illegal jirgas, said SSP Ghotki.
