DPO presides Crime Control meeting.

ATTOCK, 29 Feb: The District Police Officer Sardar Ghias Gul Khan on Thursday while presiding over the Crime Control Committee meeting has reiterated all the field officers of district Police to accelerate the crackdown against the gangsters of heinous crimes include target killers, robbers, decoits, drugs pushing, car, motorbike lifters, specially murder cases under investigation and arresting the criminals of category A without further loss of time. Among the crime control meeting was also attended by all police circle officers, SHOs of police stations and investigation officers of the Police Department. On this occasion, a detailed briefing on crime ratio was also made to the DPO who reviewed the over all progress of the Attock Police with particular refence to bring the proclaimed offenders of category-A, car lifters, killers, bandits and other street criminals to book.

He directed to ensure protection of life and properties of the people being their first prime responsibility besides launching effective patrolling duties in their jurisdictions. He also advised all the office officers to eradicate the theft dacoities, theft cases minimizing the sense of insecurity among the people. Strict action is being taken against those involved in drug peddling, gambling, running prostitution dens, possessing illegal arms and violating traffic rules, he added.

The District Police Officer further said that police will nev­er allow any evil elements to disturb the peace and law and order and strict legal action will be taken against such elements. He directed all the officers to ensure zero tolerance for  protection of lives, properties and honors of the citizens being their priority to avoid any untoward incidence within the sensitive inter provincial bordering territory of the district.

According to the vision of IG Punjab, the success of all the projects started in terms of modern policing and smart working Is subject to courteous treatment and prompt response to the people. On the directions of IG Police Punjab and RPO Rawalpindi, efforts are being made to root out crime and no lenient view is being taken in this context. Therefore all police officers should future improve service delivery by ensuring uniform enforcement of the law. He has said that police are utilising all available resources for maintenance of law and order across the district and ensuring security of people, he added.
