ISLAMABAD, JUL 15: The Election Commission of Pakistan has issued its decision regarding the reserved seats in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, approving the Pakistan Muslim League-N’s (PML-N) petition.
According to the verdict, a minority seat in the KP Assembly will be decided through a toss between PML-N and JUI-F, while a reserved women’s seat will be determined by a toss between the Awami National Party (ANP) and PTI Parliamentarians.
The decision also grants PML-N and JUI-F nine reserved seats each, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) five seats, while PTI Parliamentarians and ANP have each secured one additional seat.
With this decision, PML-N has also secured a minority seat in the KP Assembly. The Election Commission had reserved the verdict after the hearing held a day earlier.
