EDUCATION SUPPORT FROM TİKA TO PAKISTAN

Karachi: The inauguration ceremony of primary and secondary schools, which belong to the Veraval Turk Community, renewed by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency, was held with the participation of Sindh Province Care Taker Minister of Education Rana Hussain, Consul General of Türkiye to Karachi Cemal Sangu, TİKA Karachi Programme Coordinator Halil İbrahim Başaran and other guests.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Care Taker Education Minister of Sindh, Rana Hussain said that the classrooms of these newly renovated schools were very attractive and interactive. Such an environment helps students grow. She also thanked TİKA and Türkiye for their support.

Consul General of Türkiye to Karachi Cemal Sangu conveyed his wishes and said, “We, as Turkiye, always support and give important education. In thiregardds, 28 Pak Turk MaariSchoolsol are active in Pakistan. We are extremely glad to inaugurate these 2 schools belonging to the o Veraval Turk Community furnished by TİKA.”

TİKA Karachi Programme Coordinator Halil İbrahim Başaran expressed his thoughts and said “Between 2019 and 2023, TİKA realized nearly 30 projects in the education sector in Sindh and Balochistan Provinces.  Veraval Turk Community schools are one of those. We will continue to support the education sector with the cooperation of the f Sindh Education Ministry.”

Veraval Turkish Community Secretary General Hussain Ghulam said, ”Veraval Turk Jamais t in debt of Turkish sisters and brothers sitting thousands of miles away for helping the people of Veraval Turk Community. This School currently educates 450 students which will accommodate more 450 students now in morning and evening shifts.”

TİKrenovatedin two schools, whose capacities were increased with the construction of additional floors, renovation of old buildings as well as the provision of school furniturestablishmenthed of computer laboratory, modern science laboratory, libra,ry and the installation of solar energy at the premises to fulfill the l energy requirement of the said schools.

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony and school bell ringing by Minister Rana Hussain and Consul General Cemal Sangu, nearly five hundred students resumed education in their newly renovated schools.

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency, with its two offices in Pakistan, continues to contribute to the development of friendly and brother country Pakistan in the field of education with the projects which have been carried out since 2010.
