On the occasion of World Engineers Day, Chairman the Pakistan Engineering Council Engr Waseem Nazir, extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all engineers across Pakistan and abroad who are contributing with dedication, innovation, and professional excellence toward the development of the nation.
Chairman PEC Engr Waseem Nazir said engineers play a fundamental role in nation-building. They design and develop the infrastructure that connects cities, create technologies that transform industries, and provide practical solutions to complex challenges in energy, water, environment, healthcare, and digital systems. From planning sustainable urban development to advancing industrial growth and technological self-reliance, engineers are the driving force behind progress and economic stability.
He said this day also reminds us that as a society we must recognize, respect, and value our engineers. Their expertise, hard work, and commitment often operate behind the scenes, yet their contributions directly impact public safety, national productivity, and future innovation. Providing engineers with opportunities, professional support, and recognition is essential for strengthening Pakistan’s development journey.
The Chairman PEC said the Pakistan Engineering Council remains steadfast in its mission to regulate the engineering profession, promote quality education, strengthen professional capacity, and encourage research and innovation aligned with international standards. Guided by the vision of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for a strong, progressive, and self-reliant Pakistan, he urged engineers to continue serving the nation with integrity, responsibility, and excellence. He called for a renewed collective commitment to empowering engineers and working together to engineer a brighter, safer, and more prosperous future for Pakistan.
