ISLAMABAD: Former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan launched his election campaign on Saturday as an independent candidate.

Addressing the public gathering in Rawalpindi, Khan said: “I can criticise the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder, but I will not rebuke. The PTI founder has been my friend for the last 50 years. Even I had connected with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for many tears.”

He stated, “I will clinch a historical victory on one provincial and two national assembly seats on February 8. I will become part of the process of saving the country.”

Khan urged his supporters to show political vigilance. “All the supporters should remain active till the end of the voting process. I will myself observe the results of the elections.”
