VIENA: Flag Hoisting Ceremony at the Embassy of Pakistan in Vienna to Commemorate National Day of Pakistan
Ambassador Aftab Ahmed Khokher hoisted Pakistani flag in a graceful ceremony to mark the Pakistan day. The messages of the President and the Prime Minster of Pakistan were read on the occasion. Members of Pakistani community from all walks of life participated in the event
While thanking the community for attending the ceremony, Ambassador Khokher stated that Pakistan Day was being commemorated to pay homage to the founding fathers of Pakistan who rendered invaluable services and sacrifices to create our beloved homeland. He also said that it was a day for reaffirmation of our resolve to make Pakistan an economically stronger and prosperous country.
Ambassador Khokher reaffirmed that Pakistan would continue to extend political, moral and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people in their just struggle for the right of self-determination.
Ambassador Khokher highlighted the suffering of our brethren in Turkey and Syria who faced devastating earthquake. He called on the community members to continue to extend all possible support for rehabilitation and reconstruction of the effected areas in those countries.
Special prayers were also made for peace, prosperity and well-being of people of Pakistan.
