LAHORE, OCT 31 (DNA) — Former PTI federal minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan has announced joining the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP).
The newly formed IPP has managed to take another wicket of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf as the former aviation minister in the previous PTI government, Ghulam Sarwar Khan, has decided to quit his party and announced joining the IPP.
Sarwar held a meeting with IPP founder Jehangir Khan Tareen and party Central President Aleem Khan and showed his intent to join the fledgling party. He reposed full confidence in the IPP leadership. Earlier on Tuesday, former PTI MPA Chaudhary Sajid Mehmood announced quitting the party while condemning the May 9 incidents.
“I condemn the anti-establishment statements of the PTI chairman and those responsible for the May 9 incidents should be punished at all costs,” he said. He apologised to the party workers and announced parting ways with the former ruling party. — DNA
