ISLAMABAD, FEB 17 (DNA): A delegation of the Pak-Australia Business Council visited the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industries. President FPCCI Atif Ikram Sheikh welcomed the guests along with Vice President Tariq Jadoon, Chairman Coordination Malik Sohail Hussain. The delegation included former Assistant President Legislative Council Shaukat Musalmani, President of Pak-Australia Business Council Iftikhar Rana and Aurangzeb Rana, among others.
Speaking on the occasion, Federation President Atif Ikram Sheikh said that there are excellent business and investment opportunities between Pakistan and Australia. FPCCI is the apex body of the business community in Pakistan. This organization has been working for the welfare of the business community for decades. Australia is an important market for Pakistani halal meat. Australian companies can cooperate in exporting halal meat from Pakistan. There are investment opportunities in property development, education, agriculture, livestock, and there are also investment opportunities in the food processing sector.
Former Assistant President of the Legislative Council of Australia Shaukat Musalmani expressed his opinion that investments in Australia are fully protected. Australia is a great country and welcomes people from all over the world. The Pakistani community living in Australia is very kind. The Pakistani community in Australia actively participates in welfare works.
Pak Australia Business Council President Iftikhar Rana expressed his opinion that there are business and investment opportunities between Pakistan and Australia. The business community of both countries can play an important role in increasing bilateral trade.
The meeting was attended by a large number of business community members including former President FPCCI Zubair Ahmed Malik, former Vice President Ijaz Abbasi, Sheikh Pervez, former Chairman Abad Arif Yousaf Jeewa. At the end of the ceremony, shields were also presented to the guests.
