FPCCI Hosts Pakistan-UAE Business Council Meeting to Boost Bilateral Trade

KARACHI, JAN 30 (DNA): The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) convened a pivotal meeting of the Pakistan-UAE Business Council (PUAEBC) at the Federation House in Karachi. The session, which aimed at fortifying trade ties between Pakistan and the UAE, was chaired by Saqib Fayyaz Magoon, Senior Vice President of FPCCI, and convened by Fakhruddin Diwan, Chairman of the PUAEBC.

The meeting featured prominent participation, including Ali Zaib, Commercial Counsellor at the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai, UAE, and key FPCCI leadership, including Adeel Siddiqui, Khurram Ijaz, Shabbir Hassan Mansha, and Executive Committee Member Ms. Sahibzadi Mahin Khan, along with other notable members of the Business Council.

Ali Zaib, Commercial Counsellor of Pakistan in Dubai, expressed his commitment to enhancing diplomatic and trade relations between Pakistan and the UAE. He urged the Pakistani business community to capitalize on the trade opportunities available in the UAE and focus on increasing the export of Pakistan’s high-quality products, which will help expand Pakistan’s market share in the UAE.

Saqib Fayyaz Magoon, Senior Vice President of FPCCI, emphasized the importance of promoting Pakistani products in the UAE, a global business hub. He proposed the creation of a dedicated platform to showcase Pakistani products at international exhibitions. He also suggested establishing a help desk at major exhibitions in the region to facilitate the display of Pakistani products.

Fakhruddin Diwan, Chairman of the Pakistan-UAE Business Council (PUAEBC), shared that the purpose of the meeting was to strengthen trade relations between Pakistan and the UAE and develop effective strategies to promote mutual cooperation. “The meeting discussed UAE visa issues, potential trade barriers, and ways to further strengthen bilateral relations.”

He stated that increasing cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE could provide significant growth opportunities for both countries. The meeting also praised the services of UAE Consul General H.E. Bakheet Ateeq Al Remaithi for his assistance in establishing a visa center at the consulate to support the business community.

The meeting served as a key platform to discuss the future of Pakistan-UAE trade relations, with both sides committed to overcoming challenges and strengthening their economic partnership.
