Karachi, FEB 12: (DNA) – Atif Ikram Sheikh, President FPCCI, has congratulated Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig on winning his national assembly seat of NA – 241; and, pinned his hopes in his leadership skills to facilitate business, industry and trade community of Pakistan through advocating for enabling, conducive business and economic policies from the august platform of National Assembly of Pakistan.
Mr. Atif Ikram Sheikh added that Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig is not only a highly-respected former Senior Vice President of FPCCI; but, also a seasoned and accomplished governance leader as he has previously served as Advisor to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Textiles. Furthermore, he has been active in social, philanthropic, economic and political circles for the past many decades.
Mr. Atif Ikram Sheikh proposed that the new government should capitalize on his expertise and network in export markets and diplomatic circles. It is a testimony of his diplomatic credentials that he is an Honorary Consul General of Yemen in Pakistan. The Government of Pakistan has also conferred upon him the prestigious civil awards of Sitara-e-Imtiaz & Tamgha-e-Imtiaz.
