Friday sermons all over Pakistan's Masajid delivered on minorities rights in Islam

ISLAMABAD, AUG 9 /DNA/ – On the call of Pakistan Ulema Council, Friday sermons all over Pakistan’s Masajid were delivered on the topic of minorities rights in Islam.

Protection of the minorities rights is the responsibility of the Muslims and the state: Ulemas-Mashaykh

On the call of Pakistan Ulema Council, Ulemas Mashaykh and religious scholars all over Pakistan delivered Friday sermons on the topic of Minorities rights in accordance of Islamic teachings and Sunnah.

The clerics addressing the Friday sermons in mosques all over the country said that Chief Justice of Pakistan should order to announce judgments in blasphemy cases, so the innocents get release and the culprits could be taken to task.

The clerics also urged the Chief justice of Pakistan to review judgment in Mubarak Sani case adding that no one is opponent of giving legal and constitutional rights to minorities. The clerics noted that both the Muslims and non-Muslims in Pakistan should ensure implementation in the law and constitution of Pakistan.

The Ulemas Mashaykh in Friday sermons also adopted a resolution to support and endorse the address of Chief of Army Staff and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s in Thursday’s Ulemas-Mashaykh Conference held in Islamabad.

The Ulemas in Fridays  sermons also urged the authorities to take immediate action in Mubarak Sani case.

Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi led Friday sermon in Lahore, while Maulana Nauman Hashir, Maulana Rafiq Jaami, Maulana Asad Zikriya Qasim, Allama Zubair Abid, Maulana Abu Bakar Hameed Sabri, Allama Tahirul Hassan, Maulana Asghar Khosa, Maulana Abdul Malik Asif, Maulana Izharul Haq Khalid, Mufti Umar Farooq, Maulana Saadullah Shafiq, Maulana Matloob Muhar, Maulana Bilal Qutab, Maulana Tayyab Qureshi, and other in Friday congregations in their respective cities noted that   Islam is guarantor of the minorities rights.

The Ulemas Mashaykh acknowledged that some instances happened in Pakistan with the mon-Muslim are very sorrowful but being an ender brother, it is the responsibility of the Muslims in Pakistan to ensure protection of the rights of the minorities in Pakistan.

The Ulemas Mashaykh said that misuse of the Blasphemy law should not be happened.

Pakistan Ulema Council has always played an imperative role in the past to contain such instances in the country and Pakistan Ulema Council will be vigilant in this regard in the future as well.

The Clerics also urged on Chief Justice of Pakistan to ensure timely proceedings on blasphemy cases in the country,  so the innocents could get released and the culprits could be taken to task.

The Pakistan Ulema Council also announced to constitute a committee comprising on the members of all the religions and religious sects of Pakistan , which will be mandated to carry out joint efforts for the security, stability and Interfaith harmony in the country in accordance with Paigham-e-Pakistan Code it conduct.
