ISLAMABAD, NOV 24: The convoy from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa led by Cheif Minister Ali Amin Gandapur en route to participate in the PTI protest in Islamabad, has not yet reached the Attock Bridge due to heavy police deployment.Â
As tensions rise ahead of the protest, authorities have closed several key routes to the capital, including the busy junction of Faizabad, which connects Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Motorcyclists are being allowed to pass through the Attock Bridge, but the rest of the traffic has been blocked. With Faizabad’s routes sealed off with containers, the only accessible route into Islamabad is through the IJP Road to the Faizabad Bridge.
Despite these restrictions, there has been no sign of PTI workers near Faizabad, even as the noon hour approaches. Locals are facing significant challenges navigating the area, with many left searching for alternative routes.
