ISLAMABAD, Oct 9: The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany celebrated the 35th German Unity Day with a modest and limited reception in Islamabad on Wednesday. The event, held on a limited scale this year, brought together a distinguished gathering of Pakistani officials, diplomats, and representatives from various sectors.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting, MNA Attaullah Tarar, attended the ceremony as the chief guest. In his remarks, he congratulated the people and government of Germany on their National Day and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.
The event, featured the participation of senior government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and representatives from German businesses, foundations, and organisations active in Pakistan. The diverse guest list underscored the depth and breadth of German–Pakistani relations, spanning political, economic, humanitarian, and cultural domains.
