ISLAMABAD, APR 15 /DNA/ – The German Embassy in Islamabad proudly handed over the proceeds from last year’s highly successful Charity Christmas Market. The surplus from 2023 could even be surpassed and amounted to an impressive sum of 3.2 million PKR.

Alfred Grannas, along with Embassy representatives, met with esteemed organizations including the Aaghosh Mera Ghar, Rawalpindi Leprosy Hospital, and Al- Firdous Welfare Association to formally present the charitable donations. During the meetings, the recipient organizations showcased their plans for utilizing the funds for various charitable causes and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the German Ambassador for his generous contribution.

Impressed by the impactful work carried out by these organizations, Ambassador Grannas stated, “I am delighted to learn that our proceeds are being directed towards exceptional projects that are creating a positive difference in society.”

In December of the previous year, the German Embassy hosted for the third time the German Christmas Charity Market, an extraordinary event held at the Serena Hotel. With the participation of around 700 guests from approximately 50 countries, the market provided an opportunity for visitors to purchase gifts from diverse German and Pakistani stalls while enjoying authentic German food and hospitality.=DNA
