Global community, especially Pakistan, Iran requested to be merciful with Afghans

PESHAWAR— Former senior Afghan diplomat and bureaucrat Abdul Jabbar Naeemi has requested world community, especially Iran, Pakistan and other Islamic countries to be merciful with war affected Afghans as they are ahead with imposed wars and hostilities in motherland from last five decades.

“None of Afghan wants to be part of these imposed wars, for which they are suffering and hunting for shelter throughout the world,” Jabbar Naeemi remarked in a press statement on Thursday. Naeemi who besides serving in Pakistan in a senior diplomatic capacity in 90’s , had also served Afghanistan’s four provinces as its Governor, has shown sever concern over continuous arrests, detention and forcible deportation to Afghanistan from a number of countries, especially Iran and Pakistan. He said that Afghans are most patriotic and love their motherland but unfortunately, “Afghanistan has been made field of battles by external elements.”

Former Afghan bureaucrat has recalled that on the grounds of Islamic norms, all of the Islamic countries, especially neighbours like Pakistan and Iran are bound to help the war-affected Afghans at this crucial stage.  These war affected Afghans are ahead with worst kind of situation in Pakistan and Iran from last several months, he remarked, adding “almost of them have confined them to rented homes and apartments in Karachi, Islamabad, Quetta, Peshawar and other places. A large number including women and children are being arrested and even teen ager boys and girls have been detached from their families including parents, he emphasized. Similar is the situation in Western and European world, which are the final destinations of these war affected people in hunt of best fortune.

Jabbar Naeemi said that no one can deny the fact that Afghanistan and its people have been dragged into a war, which didn’t own ior beneficial to them. But this war was imposed on them by most effective block of global community for meeting its nefarious designs, he said, adding “still certain elements are fuelling internal hostilities in Afghanistan for purposes known best to its policy makers.” He said that Afghans have been made fed up by these imposed wars and hostilities and they are praying for peace and stability in their motherland. He called upon the global community to address genuine wish of the Afghans who are desirous  to live with peace and dignity in their motherland.

Former governor of Kundoz, Khost, Laghman and Maidan Wardag has also called up on United States, United Nations, European Community, Organisation of Islamic Counties (OIC) and others to come forward and help the Afghans who are in hunt for survival throughout the world. He said that all these forums needs to convince Pakistan, Iran and other countries to stop arrests, detention and harassments of Afghans as they are human beings and deserves help , assistance, access to education, health and shelter facilities on humanitarian grounds.
