In budget steps must be taken to reduce the cost of production and for ease of doing business: Atif Ikram

Islamabad JUNE 6 DNA :Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi visited Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI). While talking to the President FPCCI Atif Ikram Sheikh and other people from the business community, he said that Charter of democracy has been done, now there should be Charter of Prosperity. We have to pay a lot of attention to agriculture and industry. We are doing bad for agriculture Then we say that societies are being constructed. Now Fata Pata is over They are part of KPK. I will resolve the electricity related problems of Hattar Industrial Estate on priority basis. To overcome the current economic crisis, industry and agriculture will have to be facilitated by providing cheap electricity.

Faisal Karim Kundi said that KPK is the most beautiful province of Pakistan, from KPK and Gilgit-Baltistan tourism we can earn foreign exchange. The doors of the Governor House are open for the business community. The business community should jointly develop an action plan to attract foreign tourists by developing the province’s tourism destinations.

Federation President Atif Ikram Sheikh said on this occasion that the government should take measures on emergency basis for the restoration of businesses and industries. The business community is paying taxes but now steps should be taken to increase the tax base and avoid imposing more taxes on the taxpayers. The highest cost of production in the region is in Pakistan, we cannot compete with anyone, we have to take measures to reduce the cost of production and ease of doing business to increase exports.

President FPCCI Atif Ikram said that there is a lot of natural beauty in KPK, there is a dire need for road infrastructure to promote tourism. The business community will play its full role for this purpose. In Islamabad Industrial Estate, Hattar Industrial Estate, there are other problems including roads, electricity, which demand the government’s attention. Businessmen are the backbone of the country’s economy and major stakeholders. Instead of doing double taxation in the budget, if the stakeholders are consulted, the revenue can increase significantly.
