PESHAWAR, Feb 22: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi held a meeting with Italy-based prominent businessman Arshad Mahmood Cheema at Governor’s House, Peshawar, on Sunday.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, investment opportunities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the role of overseas Pakistanis in economic development were discussed in detail.
The Governor encouraged investment in the province’s industrial, tourism and information technology sectors, assuring that the government would extend all possible facilitation to investors.
Arshad Mahmood Cheema expressed keen interest in exploring business opportunities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and said that overseas Pakistanis could play an effective role in strengthening the provincial economy. He also stressed the need to enhance cooperation in industrial and commercial sectors.
Governor Kundi said overseas Pakistanis were a valuable asset to the country and their investments would not only create employment opportunities but also help stabilize the provincial economy.
Former Additional Secretary Petroleum Falak Sher and senior journalist Ali Furqan were also present on the occasion.
