ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said the government is committed to root out extremism and terrorism from every nook and corner of the country.
He was talking to news persons in Islamabad today (Monday) after inquiring about the health of two policemen who had sustained bullet injuries last night when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on them.
The Interior Minister appreciated the role of law enforcement agencies for sacrificing their lives to ensure the safety of masses.
He said there are security threats in Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Karachi, however, security agencies are on high alert and ready to thwart any possible terrorist attempt.
