ISLAMABAD, MAR 27 – The federal government has extended the date for the payment of electricity bills, as the country remains on a lockdown to prevent the coronavirus spread.
People can now pay their electricity bills of March until April 7, according to a notification issued by the Federal Ministry of Energy.
The decision was taken in view of the difficulties faced by the people during the lockdown.
Power distribution companies have been asked not to receive late payment surcharge from consumers until April 7.
