The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has filed a formal complaint with BBC Urdu regarding the publication of alleged fake news about Azad Jammu & Kashmir. The ministry stated that the report was based on unverified and uncorroborated allegations, ignoring official facts and on-record statements.
Officials emphasized that this is not the first instance of such reporting, noting that repeated publication of unverified claims has become a concerning trend. The ministry called for corrective measures to ensure responsible journalism and factual reporting in the future.
