ISLAMABAD, MAR 22 (DNA) —The esteemed Grand Mufti of the Islamic Community of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Husein ef Kavazovic, called on the Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, at the Ministry. Accompanying the Grand Mufti were the Bosnian Ambassador to Pakistan and the Honorary Consul General of Bosnia Mr Asad Saleem in Pakistan.
The delegation was warmly received by Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development. Federal Secretary Overseas Pakistanis Dr Arshad and other and senior officers from the Ministry were also present in the meeting. During the meeting, Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain extended a warm welcome to the Grand Mufti, expressing heartfelt congratulations on his forthcoming receipt of the Sitare e Quaid e Azam Award on March 23rd, conferred by the President of Pakistan.
Minister Hussain underscored the Ministry’s substantial potential for public service delivery and articulated his commitment to enhancing the performance of its seven attached departments. These departments play a pivotal role in facilitating the welfare of workers within Pakistan and abroad, as well as their dependents residing in Pakistan.
In response, the Grand Mufti conveyed his gratitude to Minister Hussain for the warm reception and congratulatory remarks. He also expressed appreciation for the deep bonds of friendship between the peoples of Bosnia and Pakistan. Furthermore, he commended Pakistan’s significant contributions to UN peace missions in Bosnia and highlighted Pakistan’s prominent leadership role in the Muslim world.
Addressing the issue of labor mobility, the Grand Mufti emphasized Bosnia’s demand for foreign workers. Minister Hussain assured him of Pakistan’s readiness to meet this demand, citing the country’s highly skilled and diligent workforce.
Both parties agreed to strengthen cooperation in addressing labor mobility challenges and exploring avenues for collaboration in this regard. The meeting between the Grand Mufti of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Federal Minister for Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis marks a significant step towards fostering closer ties and cooperation between the two nations. — DNA
