ISLAMABAD, NOV 26 /DNA/ – The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has taken a significant step toward strengthening the review process for research projects under the National Research Programme for Universities (NRPU). Under the leadership of Advisor (R&ID) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali Nasir and Director Mr. Nauman Ahmad Khan, HEC has successfully addressed longstanding bottlenecks, ensuring stricter compliance from faculty members regarding project execution.
NRPU section has revamped its entire review mechanism to promote transparency, efficiency, and effectiveness. As part of this reform, HEC organized its 1st Orientation Session for Reviewers on Wednesday. The session aimed to provide insight of review mechanism and provided guidelines aligned with HEC’s commitment to quality research governance.
The event was chaired by Advisor R&ID, while Ms. Noshaba Awais also graced the occasion, sharing her valuable insights on the importance of rigorous and ethical review processes. The session was moderated by Syeda Mahmaz Batool, DO (R&ID), who facilitated discussions on compliance strategies and evaluation standards.
Panel members and chairs from across Pakistan attended the session and appreciated the efforts of the NRPU team for executing such a task with high responsibility and professionalism.
