ISLAMABAD, Jan 8 (APP/DNA):The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has agreed to collaborate with the Pakistan Network of Quality Assurance in Higher Education (PNQAHE) on joint initiatives aimed at strengthening quality assurance in higher education institutions.
The decision was taken during a meeting held at HEC Islamabad on Thursday, chaired by Prof. Dr Zia-ul-Haq, Executive Director HEC. The meeting was attended by Dr Asiyah Bukhari, President PNQAHE, along with her team, including Air Commodore (R) Muhammad Ismail. From HEC, Nasir Shah, Director General, Quality Assurance, Dr Noor Amna Malik, Managing Director, NAHE and other officers were present.
Dr Asiyah Bukhari congratulated Dr Zia-ul-Haq on assuming the office of Executive Director, HEC and expressed confidence in his leadership for the advancement of higher education in Pakistan.
She presented PNQAHE’s capacity-building proposals for higher education stakeholders, which were welcomed by the Executive Director, HEC. The responsibility for further coordination was assigned to QAA and NAHE.
Dr Susanna Karakhanyan, former President of INQAAHE also joined the meeting online as Advisor to PNQAHE. It was agreed that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between HEC and PNQAHE will be signed in near future.
