A delegation of high-achieving Pakistani students, currently visiting Turkiye under the special initiative of the Prime Minister of Pakistan H.E Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to reward academic excellence and foster educational and cultural exchange, visited the Turkish Ministry of National Education in Ankara today.
The delegation was graciously received by the Minister of National Education of Turkiye, H.E. Yusuf Tekin, who extended a warm welcome to the students. In his remarks, Minister Tekin observed that the youth are the torchbearers of the exemplary Pakistan–Turkiye brotherhood, a friendship that serves as a model for other nations. He emphasized that it is incumbent upon the younger generations to further nurture and strengthen this enduring bond, which is deeply rooted in mutual respect, trust, and shared values.
Addressing the gathering, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkiye, H.E. Dr. Yousaf Junaid, expressed sincere appreciation to the Ministry for its warm hospitality and engagement with the delegation. He reaffirmed the deep, fraternal ties between Pakistan and Turkiye, underscoring that the visit would contribute to the further consolidation of bilateral cooperation—particularly in the domains of education, youth development, and people-to-people connectivity.
Speaking on behalf of the student delegation, Ms. Anna Farooqi expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Prime Minister H.E Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif for providing students with the opportunity to broaden their horizons and strengthen bonds with their Turkish counterparts. She noted that the experience had been profoundly enriching, enabling the students to gain a deeper understanding of Turkiye’s education system and the historic and contemporary dimensions of the Pakistan–Turkiye relationship.
Later, the delegation visited the Embassy of Pakistan in Ankara, where they were briefed on the functions and organizational structure of a diplomatic mission. The visit reflects the continued commitment of both countries to strengthen educational and people to people ties, nurturing a new generation of Pakistan Turkiye friendship ambassadors.
