ISLAMABAD, JUL 11: The government sources said on Friday that Pakistan has decided against sending its hockey team to India for the forthcoming 2025 Men’s Hockey Asia Cup, slated to happen in India.

According to details, the official sources said, “Pakistan has always kept politics away from sports. However, India has always linked sports with politics. Indian media is speaking against Pakistan.”

“The extremists are openly threatening the Pakistan hockey team via social media accounts,” the sources added.

The statement said, “The players cannot be sent to India due to the ongoing tensions and security concerns.”
