Hurriyat leaders greet Pakistanis on their independence day

SRINAGAR, Aug 14 (DNA): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir,
Hurriyat leaders and organizations felicitating the government and
people of Pakistan on their Independence Day have prayed for the peace
and prosperity of the country.

Senior Hurriyat leader, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, in a statement in
Srinagar said the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has always supported the
Kashmiris’ struggle for securing their right to self-determination at
all international forums.

He said the Kashmiri people pray for peace, stability, development and
prosperity in Pakistan and they believe that a strong and stable
Pakistan is important for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute.

He expressed hope that Pakistan will continue its moral, political and
diplomatic support to the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle. Khan Sopori also
appeal to all peace loving people of the world especially oppressed
Kashmiris to observe Indian Independence Day, tomorrow (August 15) as
Black Day.

The Chairman of Tehreek-e-Muzahamat, Bilal Ahmed Siddiqui, in a
statement in Srinagar said Pakistan is not an ordinary country but an
ideological state and sole Muslim atomic power.

He said Muslims across the globe attach high hopes with the country as
Pakistan has been a support to all oppressed nations across the world,
particularly Kashmir and Palestine. He thanked the government and people
of Pakistan for their continued support to the Kashmir cause.

The Chairman of Peoples Political Front, Muhammad Musaddiq Aadil, said
the Kashmiris and Pakistanis are tied in religious, ideological, social
and emotional bonds. He maintained that Pakistan has been continuously
supporting the Kashmiris’ just cause of freedom for the last over seven
decades.

He said Pakistan is a great gift of Allah Almighty for the entire Muslim
Ummah and it is the religious responsibility of the Muslim world to work
for the security and stability of this country.

Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir spokesman in a statement in
Srinagar said a strong and stable Pakistan is the guarantor of Kashmir’s
freedom from Indian yoke.

He said that the dream of Pakistan of the poet of the East, Dr Allama
Muhammad Iqbal, was fulfilled by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah with
his vision, intelligence, honesty, principled politics and determination
in a short period of time.

The spokesman said that the unilateral action of Narendra Modi-led
fascist Indian government on August 5, 2019 and the brutal and inhuman
treatment meted out to Muslims by Hindu extremists in India proved the
Quaid-e-Azam’s two nation theory right.

He said Indian oppression for the last 73 years has failed to suppress
the Kashmiris’ resolve for freedom. He said that the day was not far
when India would have to face defeat and Jammu and Kashmir would be free
from Indian illegal domination and become part of Pakistan.

Hurriyat leader, Muhammad Yasin Attai, in his statement said the
Kashmiri people are grateful to Pakistan for being the advocate of their
right to self-determination at every international forum. He said that
India’s Independence Day is a Black Day for the Kashmiris.

The Jammu and Kashmir Insaf Party General Secretary, Bashir Ahmad Butt,
in a press release issued in Srinagar said a strong Pakistan can play a
pivotal role in establishing permanent peace and prosperity not only in
the region but it can also help resolve all outstanding issues
confronted by the contemporary world, especially the long pending
Kashmir dispute which has become a nuclear flashpoint in South Asia.

He also fully supported the call given by the All Parties Hurriyat
Conference to observe Indian Independence Day as a Black Day and hoist
black flags in the nook and corner of the occupied territory.

Jammu and Kashmir Social and Justice League leader, Fatima Jan, said
Kashmiris are highly grateful to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for
extending its wholehearted moral, political and diplomatic support to
their just cause and struggle since 1947.

She said it is Pakistan that is taking up the Kashmir dispute at every
international forum. She also said the Kashmiris will observe Indian
Independence Day, tomorrow (August 15), as Black Day to sent a message
to India that they reject its illegal occupation of their homeland.

Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League General Secretary, Muhammad
Ramzan Khan, in his message of felicitations to the government and the
people of Pakistan on their Independence Day, said Pakistan is gift of
God and fortress for entire Muslim Umah. He paid rich tributes to the
founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam, Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Islamic
thinker Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal and also prayed to Allah for their
internal blessings.

Meanwhile, despite heavy deployment of Indian troops and police
personnel, activists of Jammu and Kashmir Students and Youth Forum
raised Pakistan’s national flag in Srinagar and other areas of the
occupied territory to show their love for Pakistan.

Jammu and Kashmir Pir Panjal Freedom Movement General Secretary,
Israr-ul-Haq, in a statement issued in Jammu said Pakistan has supported
the just freedom struggle of oppressed people of Jammu and Kashmir and
hoped that this support will continue till they win freedom from Indian
subjugation.

The Hurriyat AJK leaders including Abdul Majeed Malik, Shamim Shawl,
Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoob, Qazi Muhammad Imran, Abdul Majeed Lone and
Khalid Shabbir in their statements also congratulated the people and
government of Pakistan on their Independence Day.

They said the people of Kashmir were grateful to Pakistan for extending
its wholehearted moral, political and diplomatic support to their just
freedom struggle since 1947. They prayed for peace, stability, progress
and prosperity of Pakistan adding that a strong and stable Pakistan is
important for the resolution of Kashmir dispute.

The leaders urged the people of Kashmir to observe Indian Independence
Day, tomorrow, as Black Day to register their protest against India’s
illegal occupation of their homeland.
