ISLAMABAD: /DNA/ – The President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Nasir Mansoor Qureshi participated in the All Chambers President’s Conference held at the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The conference, attended by Presidents of various chambers across Pakistan, featured the Finance Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Aurangzeb, as the Chief Guest.
In his address Nasir Mansoor Qureshi appreciated the government’s efforts in maintaining consistent economic policies, acknowledging their role in fostering a stable business environment. He urged the government to extend maximum support to the business community, particularly the industrial sector, which he emphasized as a key driver of economic growth.
President Qureshi highlighted that empowering industries is essential not only for national economic development but also for strengthening Pakistan’s export potential. He underscored the importance of providing industries with the necessary incentives and support to enhance productivity and global competitiveness.
Another crucial issue raised by the ICCI President was the growing water scarcity in Pakistan. He stressed the need for immediate and long-term measures to address the country’s water crisis, noting its direct impact on industrial growth, agriculture, and overall economic sustainability. He urged stakeholders to work collectively towards water conservation initiatives and infrastructure development to mitigate this pressing challenge.
As far as the ICCI is concerned it remains committed to advocating for policies that foster a conducive business environment and drive sustainable economic progress, he added.
The conference concluded with a consensus among the participants on the importance of collaboration between the government and the business community to strengthen Pakistan’s economic future.
