ICCI President Vows to Take Up Timber Traders’ Issues at Relevant Forums for Swift Resolution

ISLAMABAD, JUL 22: A 14-member delegation of the Timber Merchants Association, I-11 Islamabad, led by its President Haji Iqbal Khan, visited the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) to highlight key challenges confronting the timber business community in the area.

During the meeting, the delegation apprised the ICCI leadership of various issues hampering their business operations. These included poor infrastructure, municipal service deficiencies, and regulatory hurdles related to the Capital Development Authority (CDA).

ICCI President Nasir Mansoor Qureshi, while attentively listening to the concerns, assured the delegation of the Chamber’s full support. He pledged that ICCI would take up the timber traders’ issues with the relevant authorities for their early and effective resolution.

He emphasized that addressing the problems of sector-specific markets like Timber Market I-11 is vital for the smooth functioning of trade and industry in Islamabad. “ICCI is committed to working with all segments of the business community and will continue to advocate for policies that foster a conducive environment for commercial growth,” he added.

The delegation also included Chairman Noor Ayaz Khan, Senior Vice President Muhammad Basharat Gujar, Vice President Saeed Khan Mehsud, General Secretary Malik Azhar, and other office bearers. ICCI Executive Members Malik Abdul Aziz,  Waseem Chaudhry and Advisor to President Naeem Siddiqui were also present.

Earlier, ICCI Vice President Nasir Mehmood Chaudhry welcomed the delegation and reiterated the Chamber’s firm commitment to supporting the timber merchants in resolving their genuine issues.
