IGP for improved maintenance,public facilitation at police stations, Khidmat Markaz

LAHORE, Dec 16 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr.Usman Anwar on Tuesday chaired a meeting at the Central Police Office to review maintenance arrangements and implementation of protocols at Special Initiative Police Stations and Khidmat Markaz.

According to a Punjab Police spokesperson,DIG R&D Fawad-ud-din Riaz and AIG Complaints Ahmed Mohiuddin attended the meeting,while RPO Sheikhupura DIG Athar Ismail and Deputy Commandant PC Syed Muhammad Ameen Bukhari participated through video link.
The IGP Punjab directed authorities to ensure proper maintenance,cleanliness and upkeep of equipment at police stations and Khidmat Markaz in Sheikhupura,Kasur and Nankana Sahib.
He stressed that IT systems at police stations and service centers must remain fully functional,biometric attendance of staff be ensured and records properly maintained.
Dr.Usman further directed all station house officers (SHOs) to remain present at police stations from 3 pm to 5 pm for hearing and redressal of citizens’ complaints.
The IGP also ordered further improvement in facilities for citizens at traffic licensing and driving centers and directed the police to accelerate awareness campaigns to inform the public about amended traffic laws.
