ISLAMABAD, JAN 25 (DNA) — The Islamabad High Court on Tuesday reserved its verdict on a plea of Mrs Tabassum Ishaq Dar for return of her house seized by NAB.

A high court bench comprised of Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani and Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz heard arguments over maintainability of the petition of Mrs Tabassum Ishaq, the spouse of Ishaq Dar for return of the house.

The counsel of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) while opposing the plea asked the court to dismiss the petition. The bench reserved its decision on maintainability of the petition in the case hearing.

Earlier, the IHC had issued a restraining order against the accountability court’s decision regarding auction of Dar’s Lahore house. The high court had suspended November 07, 2019, decision of the accountability court on a petition of Mrs Tabassum Ishaq.

Qazi Misbah Advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner had pleaded to the court that Ishaq Dar had given the house in Gulbarg area of Lahore as Haq Mahr to his wife on Feb 14, 1989.

The NAB while ceasing the house transferred it to the Government of Punjab for auction, the lawyer said. The high court bench after hearing arguments of the lawyer issued restraining order against the accountability court’s decision. =DNA
