Indian public criticizes Modi and media over Pahalgam incident

New Delhi, MAY 4: Following what has been described as the “Pahalgam false flag attack,” criticism of Prime Minister Modi and Indian media has emerged from within India itself, according to sources.

Indian citizens across various media platforms have targeted the BJP government over security failures, with criticism continuing to mount, sources report.

In videos that have surfaced publicly, Indian citizens have raised pointed questions about both Modi and the Indian media’s handling of the situation.

During one notable podcast, the host questioned whether the Pahalgam incident represented a security failure. Guests on the program responded affirmatively, drawing parallels to previous incidents: “Pulwama was also a security failure, as was Pathankot.”

One podcast participant raised a critical question about intelligence monitoring: “It’s claimed that two people went to Pakistan-administered Kashmir, trained for seven years, and then returned. Who was monitoring all this?”

The podcast host highlighted the contradiction in Modi’s administration claims: “The Modi government claims it has rid India, especially Kashmir, of terrorism.” He further questioned, “Weren’t 11 years enough for the BJP government?” criticizing Modi’s various counterterrorism initiatives that apparently failed to deliver results.

Guests on the podcast criticized Indian electronic media for avoiding discussion about the causes of the attack and security failures: “Indian electronic media isn’t discussing the reasons for the attack or security failures at all.”

“The Indian media is only reporting that Hindus were killed, and Modi is echoing this narrative,” said another podcast participant.

Political analysts have concluded that the BJP and Indian media “have become afflicted with the disease of believing their own lies.”
