ISLAMABAD, FEB 11 (DNA):His Excellency Mr. Hasan Nourian, Consul General of Iran in Karachi, hosted a grand reception at the Iranian Consulate General to mark the 46th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran. The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, diplomats, and officials, reflecting the strong ties between Iran and Pakistan.
The Chief Guest on the occasion was Mr. Kamran Khan Tessori, Governor of Sindh, while Mr. Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister of Sindh, was also in attendance.
In his welcome address, Mr. Nourian highlighted the enduring struggle of the Iranian people in bringing about the revolution and sustaining its vision despite early challenges, including war and prolonged economic sanctions. He expressed gratitude to all dignitaries and guests for their presence and support.
Adding to the significance of the occasion, the visiting Commander of the Iranian Navy also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the resilience and progress of the Iranian nation.
Governor Kamran Khan Tessori, in his keynote speech, commended the people of Iran for their steadfast determination in the face of adversity. He extended heartfelt congratulations to the Iranian Consul General, the government, and the people of Iran on behalf of the people and government of Pakistan.
The celebration culminated in a ceremonial cake-cutting, attended by the Consul Generals of Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Russia and several other countries. Guests were then treated to a lavish dinner, showcasing the rich cultural hospitality of Iran.
The event served as a testament to the deep-rooted friendship and diplomatic ties between Iran and Pakistan, reinforcing shared values and mutual cooperation.
