Islamabad Police regularize service of 262 employees under ‘Shuhada Package’

ISLAMABAD, May 29 (DNA): Islamabad Police have regularized the services of 262 police employees who were inducted in the department under ‘Shuhada Package’.

Those regularized were given the appointment letters in a ceremony held at the Police Lines Headquarters here.

IG Islamabad distributed the appointment letters among the employees. DIG (Headquarters) Kamran Adil, SSP (Headquarters), AIG (Operations) and families of the martyrs of Islamabad Police were present in the ceremony.

The heirs of the martyrs of Islamabad Police were given jobs after the martyrdom of their dear ones and they were still working in Islamabad Police department on temporary basis, according to the officials.

Speaking on the occasion, IG Islamabad, Qazi Jamilur Rehman congratulated those who were regularized. He hoped that they would perform their duty with dedication. He was happy that the department fulfilled the promise made with the personnel for regularization of their jobs.

These employees were performing their duties in different sections of Islamabad Police. They were given the scale as per their educational qualifications. The IGP said that those inducted against the clerical posts would also be sent for special courses on the pattern of uniform officials.

He asked the officials to earn a good name for the department through hard work and dedication. He was of the view that the martyrs were an asset for the department and added that their families would be taken care of.

The employees thanked IG Islamabad for his efforts to regularize them and vowed to earn a good name for the department.
