Israeli PM accused of taking bribes


TEL AVIV – The Attorney General of the Government of Israel, Avichai Mandelblit, has accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of taking bribes on file 4000, and has decided to charge him with deception and dishonesty in files 1000 and 2000.
 The Channel 2 television reported Thursday night that Mandelblit handed the Knesset the indictment against Netanyahu and will announce its details to the public at 7:30 pm.
 According to Channel 2, the Attorney General decided to adopt the recommendations of Attorney General Shai Nitzan and the recommendations of the Israeli Attorney General and agreed to submit an indictment against Netanyahu.
 According to the Hebrew Channel, the Likud party demanded that the party activists gather in front of Netanyahu’s house to protest against the decision of the attorney general and to express his rejection.
