His Excellency Major General Yousef Ahmed A. Al Huneiti, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) of the Jordan Armed Forces, called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), at the General Headquarters (GHQ) here on Thursday.
During the meeting, the two senior military leaders held comprehensive discussions on matters of mutual interest, the prevailing regional security environment, and prospects for further strengthening bilateral defence and military cooperation. Both sides exchanged views on evolving security challenges and emphasized the need for closer coordination, experience sharing, and collaborative approaches to promote peace and stability in the region.
The visiting Jordanian CJCS highly appreciated the professionalism, operational preparedness, and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces, and lauded their significant contributions towards regional and global peacekeeping efforts. He also acknowledged Pakistan’s role in fostering stability through its responsible and proactive defence posture.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to further deepening defence ties with Jordan, underscoring the importance of sustained military-to-military engagement, joint training initiatives, and defence collaboration between the two brotherly countries.
The meeting concluded on a cordial note, with both sides expressing a shared resolve to enhance cooperation and further strengthen the longstanding fraternal relations between Pakistan and Jordan.
