SEOUL, Oct 23 Kia Corp. on Thursday extended its global partnership with Spanish tennis legend Rafael Nadal, marking the 21st year of their collaboration.
A signing ceremony for the partnership took place at Kia’s Unplugged Ground in central Seoul, attended by Song Ho-sung, Kia president and chief executive officer (CEO), and Nadal.
Kia first began sponsoring Nadal in 2004, when he was 17 years old.
Nadal, supported by Kia at the start of his professional career, won his first major title at the French Open in 2005 and went on to win 22 Grand Slam titles.
He has served as a global brand ambassador for Kia since 2006.
“Kia will continue to inspire tennis fans and future stars around the world through our journey with Rafael Nadal, sharing hope and positive energy with our customers,” Song said.
