Lahore once again ranked first in global air pollution

LAHORE, May 3: Lahore has once again been ranked the most polluted city in the world in the latest global air quality index (AQI) report, underscoring continued concerns over worsening environmental conditions.

According to the global air pollution ranking,Lahore recorded an AQI of 176, placing its air quality in the hazardous category and posing significant health risks to residents.
Indonesia’s capital Jakarta ranked second with an AQI of 173, while India’s capital New Delhi stood third with an AQI of 163.


The report also listed Cairo and Dhaka among the top five most polluted cities globally, reflecting persistently poor air quality in major urban centers across Asia and Africa.
