KARACHI, MAY 12 (DNA): Lahore Qalandars CEO Atif Rana expressed optimism that the remaining Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches will be held in Pakistan.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had last week announced the indefinite postponement of the remaining eight matches of the PSL 10 in light of the deteriorating regional security situation.

However, after Pakistan and India reached an understanding for a ceasefire, sources told Geo News that the PCB is expected to take a major decision on the remaining matches soon.

Rana said the franchises have unanimously called for the tournament to continue within the country.

He noted that packed stadiums would project a positive image of Pakistan to the world, emphasising that the tournament’s full return to local grounds would be a significant achievement.

“The final call on this matter will be made by the PCB Chairman [Mohsin Naqvi],” Rana clarified, expressing confidence in the leadership’s decision.

Commenting on his own team’s performance, Rana said Lahore Qalandars have one match remaining, and a win would see them through to the playoffs.
