Islamabad, September 21, 2023 —Representatives from leading thinktanks in Islamabad participated in an inaugural meeting to launch Press Information Department’s Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Media Cell’s Policy Working Group. The formation of the policy working group would help enhance the media cell’s research capability while also building broad-base consensus on the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting’s CVE efforts. The meeting was chaired by Ms. Raisa Adil, Director General Home Publicity, and featured a comprehensive presentation by Deputy Project Director Mr. Asad Shabbir.
